The Den

We are women. Hear us roar.

A Calgary community for women who are ready to remember who they are — and brave enough to be her, out loud.

WHY THE DEN EXISTS
DONE SHRINKING
At some point most of us look up and realise we have been so busy living life for everyone and everything else that we quietly drifted away from ourselves.
Nobody warns you that it happens. Nobody tells you that constantly giving, adapting and showing up for others can leave you genuinely unsure of who you are when you strip all of it away.
A lioness doesn't ask permission. She doesn't explain herself. She doesn't apologise for taking up space.
The Den is not for a specific type of woman. It is for any woman, at any stage of life, who is ready to ask the question — who am I, really? And then, bravely, begin to find out.
You don't have to have it figured out. You don't have to be okay. You just have to show up.

HOW A MONTH WORKS
ONE ANCHOR,
ONE ADVENTURE
Every month has the same steady heartbeat — and one gathering that changes with it.
EVERY MONTH
ROAR & POUR
Cocktails, conversation and zero agenda. No expert, no slides, no homework — just the kind of talk that happens when women feel safe enough to be honest. It runs every single month, so there is always a room to come back to.
2 HOURS · EVENING · MEMBERS COVER THEIR OWN DRINK/FOOD
PLUS ONE OF THESE, ROTATING MONTH TO MONTH
THE EXPERT NIGHT
WILD & WISE
A guest expert comes into the den — a doctor, a financial advisor, a therapist, a lawyer. Real information without jargon or condescension. The Q&A is usually the best part.
2-2.5 HOURS - SNACKS MANDATORY
THE CIRCLE
IN THE DEN
Chairs in a circle. One question. Every woman speaks who wants to. No fixing, no advice unless asked. The facilitator opens and the room does the rest.
2 HOURS - WHAT IS SHARED HERE STAYS HERE
THE WORKSHOP
THE HUNT
Hands-on. Everyone makes something, decides something, or commits to something out loud. Vision boards, mid-year reviews, intention-setting.
2.5-3 HOURS - BRING YOUR HANDS

Become the Woman the Circle Can't Hold
Oct 24
2:00 PM

An ant will walk the inside of a chalk circle its whole life. No walls. Just a line. You've got one too. A job you won't apply for, a number you won't charge, a life you've decided isn't for you. You don't outgrow the circle by trying harder. You outgrow it by becoming the woman it can't hold — and that starts with saying where the line is.

Wills, POAs & Personal Directives — The Real Talk

Leigh-Anna, a paralegal with Barnes Paralegal Services, is coming to give us the real talk on wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives — what each one does, the misconceptions she sees constantly, and what actually happens to a family when none of it's in place. Practical, not preachy. Then open Q&A — bring your questions.

LOCATION - TBD
THE SIGNATURE MOMENT
THE ROAR
The last fifteen minutes of every gathering belong to the wins. Any woman can share one, and the room answers back — We are women. Hear us roar.
It doesn't have to be big. It just has to be real.

She quit the job she'd been scared to leave.

She raised her rates for the first time.

She had the hard conversation she'd been avoiding for months.

She asked for help instead of doing everything alone.

She said no - and didn't apologize for it.

She launched the thing she'd been talking herself out of.

She went to the doctor she'd been putting off.

She finally started believing what people have been telling her about herself.
